If you’re interested in seeing, or producing, panoramic pictures, there’s a lot of information and a number of different software packages available on the worldwide web. You could start off by having a look at the various Google adverts that appear throughout this site - they should provide a number of relevant places to look. (Click the button at the far bottom left to see how this works.)
The City of York Council website has a whole selection of animated 3D panoramas taken from various points on the City Walls - one of which is from a place very near to where my Station Rise pictures were taken.
Focal Point 2000 is a company that produces animated 3D panoramas. The "virtual tours" section includes a gallery with some great examples - the giraffes are my favourite!
The Photographer's Corner is a very friendly online community of photographers. As well as lots of welcoming people to share tips and ideas with, there's an amazing variety of tutorials on photographic subjects.
PhotoSites is an online directory of photographers, pictures, supplies and all things photographic in the UK and Ireland.
UK Business Directory is a banner-free, categorised directory of businesses and services in the UK.
Moonshine Framing is the shop in Penzance where I order a lot of my mounts from. I'd definitely recommend them - very good prices, excellent work and a fantastically friendly service.
Easyart is an internet-based shop with over 50,000 art and photographic prints. You can select your own size, framing options, and paper/canvas type - or (like me) just spend hours browsing all the pretty pictures!
ArtQuest is an online art shop with "thousands of artworks in all price ranges", including a huge list of links to art websites.
AllPosters - a huge variety of posters and art prints. They claim to have over 300,000!
York Stories is described, simply, as "The city of York, UK, from one citizen’s point of view." I think this is a lovely website, describing a number of guided walks along with photographs, information and general reflections about the various places featured.
